hi everyone!
i am an indian ..came to lithunian on studant visa in 2009..during my study i met a latvian girl .leter this meeting grown as a relation..in dec2010 we went to india & got married there..as at the time i still had my student residance card.so i didnt applied for spouse (d) visa in latvian embessy india(infect there is no latvia embessy in india..for long trm latvian visas indian natinals need to trvel china)..but after caming beck to lithunia we strted spouse residance permit procedure & find it out that my wife need to have study job or money to make a application to sposor me..as she is studant & had no job (& till now)..& due to no proper info & understanding of whole procedure we run out of time & my studant residance permt has expired...
now the qtn is can i use that right of being spouse of eu ctizen & move to other eu state? my marrige certifate which issued in india has apostille stamp which make it execptble in latvia ..is it work in belgium as well? (as my wife might have possiblty to find work there)
or we need to re-marry ? but as im illigal now what is the other chances
pls help

Your rights under European law begin when you move with your EU citizen spouse to a different EU member state. You can move to any other EU member state: Latvia, Belgium, Netherlands, UK, ...

Within 3 months, she would have to work or would need to be self-sufficient. You could then apply for a Residence Card.
