PLEASE ADVICE FPN Notice issued-No action thereafter FOR B C

Post by SAARTHI » Sat Apr 30, 2011 12:47 pm

Somewhat Uncommon

I am about to apply for Naturalization.

Please guide me as to what is to be done.

I was stopped by police in Oct 2008
Had International Driving license
Also had U K Provisional licence
Police issued a Fixed Penalty Notice (Endorsable) £.60
Offence: DRIVING NOT IN ACCORDENCE WITH A LICENCE
Police asked me to present License and Counterpart to Police station.

Notice stated:
If I pay and present license and pay penalty,
It meets requirement and Police will not take further actions

I presented original pro license/ counterpart to Police station
Officer took my signature on some form,
He did not give me copy of the form
He there and there only returned me Original license. Pro card and paper both

I paid penalty £.60 in time
In penalty covering letter I wrote that I have presented originals to police
But they have returned me documents / originals

After 3 monthls I received refund of my penalty payment of £.60
Letter from Her Majesty’s Court Services HMCS
Central accounting office –Fixed penalty: Covering letter mentioned:

QUOTE- “We have been informed by the Metropolitan Police that the fixed penalty notice originally issued can not continue, and that any payment should be returned pending any further action, they wish to take in respect of this offence. You will hear from them regarding any action in the near future.â€

How do I treat this in my naturalization application.?
As if none of it ever happened. It seems, and probably quite rightly, you were issued with the FPN incorrectly, and it was cancelled and the amount you had already paid was refunded.

Proceed to complete the form AN as if none of that ever happened.

John,

Thanks for prompt reply.

One small query

One small query

Ealing council issued 2 Penalty Charge Notice of £.50 each in last one year

For “stopped on a pedestrian crossing and/or area marked by Zig-Zags “

I paid both penalty in time.

This is not required to be mentioned in application for naturalization?

I want to be sure.

Thank you again

You do not need to mention Penalty Charge Notice, you report Fixed Penalty Notice (given by the Police)_ only if you had up to 2 issued in the last year preceeding your application.
