Tier 2 Employer Sponsored Visa as a Senior Health Care Assis

Dear Users,
i have a query regarding tier 2 general employer sponsored visa.Actually i am working in a private nursing home and my employer is interested to give me sponsor for the post of Senior Health care Assistant.
QUESTION 1: i am currently tier 4 student dependent since 2005.can i apply for this visa from inside the uk or i need to go back home.
Question 2: i have recently get band 5 in Ielts general test.is it enough for this category.
Question 3:if they grant my application how many years of work permit i will get.
plz kindly look in to it and assist me

Yes, if your are a dependant of a Tier 4 migrant. No, if you are dependant of a (pre-PBS) student migrant.

Assuming an in-country application and if I understand the rule (245HE) correctly, leave to remain will be granted for:
(i) a period equal to the length of the period of engagement plus 14 days, or
(ii) 3 years
whichever is the shorter.

Care assistants and senior care assistants can no longer get Tier 2 as a fresh applicant. You will not be able to get Tier 2 as a senior health care assistant unless your employer has already issued the certificate of sponsorship.

Hello,
Can someone confirm please ...
1. Has the Senior Health Care Assistant being removed from Tier 2 Code Of Practice?
2. I was given an extension on this code and now wanting to apply ILR, what code of practice would I refer too?
3. Has anyone recently gone through this?
Please advice ...
