PEO appointment - Birmingham

Post by rentmeda » Mon May 02, 2011 9:34 pm

Hi All,

Is there a difference between making Family appointments and single appointments. As when I just put just my details I can find appointments for Birmingham. But when I inlcude the details of both my dependants I cant find any appointments.

Is there any difference or should I try to phone and book an appointment. Any opinions in this regard are appreciated.

Regards

Hi

Moderators or Senior Please Help.

I was trying to book an appointment for ILR in June and finding it difficult as it always said 'No appointments available'. So me and my wife both tried from our work place and ended up booking two appointment for the same day at two centres yesterday.

1. I was doing it online and when I registered initially 'Add another family member' I put my wife and kids details and got three mails with reference ID's and transaction ID'S. I used the same to book appointment yesterday and used the same details for all three yesterday. But on the confirmation page it only tells the date, location and time of appointment confirmation and does not mention the number of people. I did not get a mail as well.
SO DO I NEED TO PHONE UP TO CHECK IF THE APPOINTMENT IS CONFIRMED?

2. My wife also managed to phone around the same time and booked an appointment it seems, which she informed me in the evening. This was for a different PEO and she received a text with a booking reference.

My question is how do I cancel one appointment and do they normally send a mail for the online bookings with a booking reference.

Thanks

1. Once an appointment is booked under a given login / transaction ID, you cannot use the same details to book another ... at least not until the first appoint is cancelled and is cleared from the online system. The fact that you end up at the confirmation page (for all logins showing the same appointment) .. means that appointment has been booked as requested for all named applicants.

2. Did your wife use your login / transaction ID (as the main applicant) that you used to book an appointment (with you as main applicant)? If she did, and was successful just as you were .. I will be surprised. But do let me know ... to know whether you should cancel one of the appointment or can just ignore the one you don't need.
Life isn't fair, but you can be!

Thank you for the response.

My wife actually called and said she wants to book an appointment, the officer took all details and did not ask for the reference id or any other information yesterday.

But we managed to call just now and cancel the appointment in Sheffield and also confirmed that the appointment at Birmingham is for all 3 of us. Received an email as well with the booking confirmation number.

Thank you once again.
