Tier 1 (G) Extension with bachelor degree success

Post by xpscapable » Wed May 04, 2011 8:22 pm

After a number of queries in this board I would like to report a success on Tier 1 (G) extension with Bachelor degree.

This is my case:

HSMP: Granted July 2007
Tier 1 (G): Granted July 2009

Due to personal circumstances I would like to renew my Tier 1. There had been some questions in this board about the points on Bachelor degree on this case (Tier 1 extension from HSMP after April 2009) and a number of members have assured us that we should get the original points.

Well I'd like to report that I did get my full 30 points on Bachelor degree, so any other members shouldn't be worried about this extension. If you've given 30 points before you should still get it even if your Tier 1 is granted after April 2009 providing it's an extension (not a brand new application).

for tier1 extension go to Point Based Calculator and fill the detail. Points will be calculated based on rules applied to a particular case. http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/pointscalculator

Yeah I know that, but if you search on the forum there were a few questions on this issue regarding the wording on the policy guideline. I was a bit confused on the wording myself. So I posted here for a record that the Bachelor degree did get awarded 30 points.
