Query related to maintain finds for applying PSW VISA

Post by sarvan111 » Wed May 04, 2011 11:21 am

HAI, I am about to apply for PSW VISA. But I do not have any maintained funds of 800 pounds for 3 months here in UK. But I do have only deposits (my name and my father name) from post office for equivalent to 1200 pounds in my back home India. These funds have been for more than 2 years in the post office deposits scheme. Can I still use these funds for applying PSW VISA. pLEASE help me with this.

Thank you.

If it is a financial institution then the funds can be used but the funds should be in a state that they can be liquidated.

If joint account is used, then permission from other holder via letter should also be available.
permission for what???

its a JOINT account for goodness sake.....

@OP
i duno what this deposit scheme you speak of... but ask yourself this.... can YOU withdraw all the cash amount from your account if you feel like it.

if answer is yes, everything is a go. if no, you are in a pickle!
