Entry Stamp Problem

Post by jayneandd » Thu Jul 13, 2006 9:40 pm

My 2-year spouse visa is soon to expire and I've just attempted to apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain (SET(M)) but the Home Office has discovered a little problem in my passport.

My wife and I entered the UK at the start of my visa on a Ryanair flight from Dublin. My passport was never stamped on entry into the UK and we no longer have the boarding cards to prove we entered when we did.

We do have a letter from HSBC from when we created our joint bank account which is date stamped a few days after we entered the UK. Will this suffice for the Home Office as proof we were in the UK?

Have you been in touch with Ryanair? They might well be able to help, to give you the confirmation you need, especially if you actually know the date of the flight you took. Such confirmation from the airline would probably be acceptable to IND.
