Apply PLAB test as Spouse visa

Hello,

I hold tier1 (General) Visa and my visa status mentioned that Limited to leave to remain in UK, No employment as a doctor in training. My wife recently graduated from medical college in India. She already got her spouse VISA. It will be grateful if somebody could help me about the question...


So my question is that if she came here as spouse visa does she apply for PLAB test,
And Passing PLAB test could she practise here as a doctor, on that spouse visa
or need to change her visa status.

1. Your wife doesn't have a "spouse visa" but a "dependant of Tier 1 (General) / PBS migrant" visa.
2. Her visa should also have the endorsement "No employment as doctor / dentist in training" (319D(iii)). In such case, she will not be able to work in the UK in any "training" post.

3. Yes, she may take the PLAB test in UK when she arrives here.
4. PLAB exam is for GMC registration, and is not relevant in context of immigration (application / status / matters).
