Biometric - New born baby (3 months Old)

Post by pkumar » Tue May 10, 2011 8:37 pm

Hi,

I am applying for my new born baby (4 months old) - Tier 1 Dependent Visa.

Do baby needs to have biometric done as well?

Someone told me as part of Biometric they take photo? ... is this true? or there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING as far as biometric is concerned? ... Also will the baby gets visa as card or stamped in passport (if no biometric done)?

Thanks

Refer to dependent form:

If the applicant is a sole applicant under the age of 16, he/she must be accompanied by a responsible adult (see Children under the age of 16 below).
The applicant will then be asked to place his/her fingers, followed by his/her thumbs, on a fingerprint scanner. If his/her hands are dirty, we will ask the applicant to clean them. Once his/her fingerprints have been recorded we will then take a photograph of his/her face.
The same process will be carried out for any dependants applying with the main applicant, except that any children aged under 6 will not be required to provide fingerprints, although we will take their photograph. The biometric features taken will then be recorded as part of the application and those of any children under 18 who are applying.

So when will they take photo? I am applying postal application.

So you think baby will still get biometric request and just be taken photo? Where will we need to take baby for photo?

Anyone wants to share experience?

they will get a biometric invitation letter like other applicants and will have to attend a peo/biometric enrolment centre in order for the photo to be taken.
