Newly born Baby Visa

Post by zahid.ali.anwar » Thu May 12, 2011 1:20 am

Hi all,

My friend came in this country on Tier 1 General. His first extension is due on Aug 2012. He is expecting a baby in a months time.

Now, one thing is sure that the baby needs a passport. My question is Does he need to apply for visa for his newly born baby? or he can wait till his extension is due?

If he has to apply for the visa now, under what category he will apply the visa and how much time he has to apply the visa? Do he needs maintenance fund for his newly born baby? and which form to be used?

Thanks,
The question is... to be or not to be....

If the baby is not gonna travel, the baby doesnt need a visa and can wait for the main applicant's extension.

Thanks for your reply.

I will really appreciate your directing me to the relevant policy document of UKBA on this.
