Expired student visa - Over a year

Post by Ola2011 » Fri May 13, 2011 3:53 pm

Good afternoon,

·I have been in the England since 2002 on a student visa. I carried on studying and always renewed my visa when needed. My last student visa expired in February 2010.

·Although I had just completed a course Feb 2010, my plan was (is) to further my education, but sadly I started experiencing financial problems as my sponsor could not raise my tuition fees, which left me completely stranded.

·My student visa expired on the same day my course ended, so I really couldn't make any sensible decisions as I was already in panic that I had to leave, I wanted (needed) to further my education and also my sponsor was experiencing problems and wasn't easy to contact.

·I have been stranded since my visa expired, its not the a pleasant situation to be in, I'm depressed. Hopefully you'll be able to advice me through the right path on what's best for me to do.

Thank you very much for your time.

Ola

what is your private life like?

Do you have a EU/British/settled partner? Are there any reasons why your removal from the UK would be against your human rights?

If not, there's not really any options available...you can't switch visas when you've overstayed your previous visa. you should have left the UK before your visa expired. Once you found another sponsor, you could have easily come back to the UK on a new visa.

The 14 year ILR is still 5 years to go for you...
