Are British Citizens regarded as EU nationals

Post by ishyam79 » Sun May 15, 2011 6:38 pm

Hi,

I recently got my British Citizenship and wanted to apply for a schengen visa for my wife

The visa application forms asks if the person who is applying (In this case my wife) "is a spouse of a EU national". I am not sure if I have to choose this option or not.

Can someone help me please

Thanks,
Sam

Yes. Your wife is a spouse of an EU national.

Yes. You are an EU national and your wife is a family member of an EU national.

Going to Germany is the least hassle for a visa, and a wonderful place to visit. You can get the visa by mail at no cost from the London embassy. I would recommend that spend your money there!
