NEED HELP ON MY TIER-1 Application

Post by patelmilanb1 » Mon May 16, 2011 2:35 pm

Hi All,

I Have submitted my Tier-1 (General) Application on 4-April 2011 with in the UK. Got a letter for Biometric after 15-20 days ..... till now no issue...

one day my solicitor told me that i need a letter from UKNARIC (Statement of Comparability) to support my application. I have submitted the Application for UKNARIC before 10 days and when i tried to find out my UKNARIC Application status, they told me that i need one more certificate from AICTE (ALL INDIA COUNCIL OF TECHNICAL EDUCATION) .... i really dont have any idea where to get that from... tried to search online but no luck...

I was studied in College of Hi-Tech Engg, Pune, India which is affiliated with "Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University, Gangapur Dam Nashik" which shows in HOME OFFICE POINT BASED CALCULATOR....

I still need to provide the UKNARIC Letter to support my application because on the degree or any letter it does not say anything about the affiliation with that University....

Can some one guide me what can be done in this situation ....

Thanks,
Milan P

Maybe I am confused, but surely you cannot just claim points based on an affiliation?

Is the awarding university (e.g. the one shown on your degree), listed on the points calculator as I understand it, this would be the one which you can claim points for?

Ok, Now as i said in my topic that my college is affiliated, but i called to my college today and found out they are affiliated with anybody...they are individual private body.....

so does that mean that UKNARIC will not give me any Comparability Statement OR UKBA Will reject my application ?....

UK NARIC might give you statement of comparability, but I think you are too late for it.

The UKBA will not do anything with a letter stating their affiliation. They either want the original degree from a university listed on their calculator or a statement of comparability from NARIC. But honestly, I think it's too late now to submit it. (It is more than a month from your original application!!!).

UK NARIC PROBLEM !!!! PLEASE HELP

Post by patelmilanb1 » Tue May 17, 2011 1:48 pm

Hi appl,

I have submitted my application on 4-Apr 2011, done biometric as well, now the problem is UKNARIC is not assessing my qualification because i had from Bachelor of Engineering in Information Technology from a Autonomous Body in India.

I called to my college and asked if they have any collaboration with any recognised university, BUT no luck. so what should I consider now.

1) UKNARIC will not process my application for Qualification Comparability?

2) If not, will my HSMP Application will get rejected by UKBA

3) I have asked my college to give me a letter stating that "OUR COLLEGE IS AUTONOMOUS AND THEY FOLLOW THE SAME STANDARD AND THE COURSES FOLLOWED BY ANY RECOGNISED COLLEGE" ... is this letter will satisfy UKNARIC to asses my application

4) OR, I can ask UKNARIC to give me the English Level certificate as i have submitted them the Letter from College that all of the courses taught in ENGLISH.

any help will be gr8ly appreciated...

thanks,
Milan P

1. On your degree, what is the name of the awarding body (university)?
2. When you applied for Tier 1 (General) from within the UK, what was your immigration category?

Learn to be patient when asking for free advice.

1. NARIC appears to be asking for confirmation that your institution is recognized by AICTE - since it is not part of a university or affiliated with any and, perhaps, does not show up in NARIC database of "acceptable" educational institutions in India.
2. NARIC may not be able to assess the your qualification (awarded by a private body) against UK standard(s) unless you provide evidence that the institution follows the AICTE guidelines regarding course curriculum, education and examination leading to AICTE recognized qualification(s).

Ok So I am sure that Iwont be able to get the AICTE Letter as mentioned that my college was a private body.

now what will happen to my Application at UKBA?

I have scored for

1) Age - 20 points

2) Qualification - 0 Points ( UKNARIC wont asses my degree )

3) Previous Earnings: 45 Points ( have shown 40k earnings in UK in past 8 months, 15k from salary and remaining as a self-employed)

4) UK Exp - 5 points ( As all of the earnings earned in UK )

5) English Language - 10 Points ( submitted IELTS which was just 2 months ago expired but can SUBMIT UKNARIC Letter if they give me instead of "STATEMENT OF COMPARABILITY "

from above, my total points will be 80....is there any possibilities if i show more 20k earnings cos i still have a bank transaction going on and can add some more points ....

plz help...
6) Maintenance : 10 Points ( Have shown 3000 GBP from last 6 montsh)

Point 3: Previous earnings of £55,000 gives you 35 points, not 45? Even with your additional £20k, which you cannot use, you still don't appear to have enough points?

You cannot include the additional £20k as you have already applied - I do not see how this is possible as Tier 1 (General) is closed completely for new applications, so even a fresh application will not work.

If you cannot get the AITCE letter which NARIC needs, then NARIC cannot determine if your qualification is comparable. So by the looks of things, there is no way that you qualify to even start with, nevermind the additional £20k which you have lying around which you can convert to earnings (?!?!?!).
