Invalid application

hello
my visa ended on 15th of april and i applied for extension a day before but my application was ruled invalid due to an error. however it took them 25 days to send my application back to me and due to the fact that i have to get updated bank statements from abroad, my 28 days has passed.

dont the home office really take this into consideration as how can a person know that their visa has been rejected.if my passport was sent back at least 2 wks after this happened, i would not be in this situation.

what do i do?

i missed the benefitts box. it was just an error and not intentional as i have never been on benefits.
