Query regarding family visit visa

Hi

I'm planning for my in-laws visit to UK for a period of 6 months starting July.

I'm currently on a tier 1 visa which is expiring in september but I can apply for extension before that and I'm sure that I will .

My query is that if I apply for a family visit visa for 6 months in june for july travel is it a possibility that it gets rejected as the sponsorer visa is expiring. Or should I mention in my sponsorship letter that I'm planning to extend the visa?

You can apply for family visit visa for six months for your in laws but their duration of stay has to end before your current leave expires.
Hope you remember one question like "When you intend to travel?.... blah blah".
As you mentioned travel plan is for July month then you should be fine.
