PSW HELP.

I have applied for Tier 4 visa extension in February and have been granted a leave. The bank statement I have used then was in my name. I want to apply for PSW now but I want to use a joint bank statement. Which includes my and my friend's personal savings. Dose it make any difference. Joint statements can be used. But I have heard some one's PSW was being rejected because of this because he has used own bank statement for Tier 4 application and joint one for PSW. Please help me. THANKS
