visiting visa document

hi,

I am not sure if this is the correct place to put up this question. if not apolozise..

My mother-in-law would like to come to the UK from india. just wondering what documents i need to send and what documents she needs to show..just asking this question as i am not sure if the procedures are been updated..

Thanks for the reply.. i have gone through this post and it says to send the photocopy..so will photocopy of bank statements and others will do as i thought the bank statements and house documnets should be original (passport can be photocopy)

also, i am inviting my mother-in-law for assisting my wife during pregnancy. so is it better to mention the reason or can i just say she is visiting the uk....after pregnancy my mother-in-law would return back to her countrey and my mother would be coming to the uk..so i need to sponser her again as well. both of them are from india....so will this be a problem sponspering two people...of course my mother would be coming in after 3 or 4 months after my mother-in-law arrival.

Wherever possible all documents for visitors visa ( including bank statement, employment letter and info regarding accommodation) should be original.

The exception is the sponsors passport, which can be copies
