unmarried visa

hi i will be applying for unmarried visa to join my partner in uk, since i was uk illegally i tried to legalize my stay but i dint succeed. since we started staying with my partner 2005 but i dont have prove untill 2008 to jan 2011. will i still indicate on the application form that we had been staying together since 2005 or 2008 which i have prove. we have 2 kid together

Give the information on the form of when the relationship began, even though you only have proof of living together since 2008.
