Paying All Fee's Before applying for Visa

Hi,
I am going to apply for my student visa very soon. I intend to pay all my tuition fees and accomodation fees before hand. So that when i receive my CAS it will show that i have paid everything.
My question is, if i pay all my fees beforehand, do i still need to provide financial evidence(i.e bank statements) when i go to the consulate or will this suffice?
The reason i ask this is because i interpret "maintenance fees" to be more than just accommodation. So even though i might have paid all my accommodation fees, i still think i need to show that i have money for upkeep(i.e food, transport etc). Is my thinking correct?
Has any other international students out there done this before. i.e paid all tuition and accommodation fees before hand? If so, was this sufficient or did the embassy ask you to provide more financial evidence?

If you have paid all your fees, this will be indicated on CAS, if you pay all the accomodation then you can subtract this amount for the total you need for maintenance !

I figured as much. However since my university is deemed as being in outside london the maintenance i have to show is 600 pounds a month or 5400 pounds in total for living costs. Since i am a postgrad student, i will be staying on campus for 51 wks. When i calculated the total accommodation fees it came up to 5905 pounds for the 51 wks. So since this exceeds the 5400 maintenance fees i need to show, i should be safe then?

Yes you still have to provide the bank statement . Not for the fee but for the living and other expenses. if i am not wrong its like 500 -800 Per month. if your course is 1 years length .. Then multiply this amount with 12 and atleast this much should still be provided in your bank statement. Your course fee is excluded off it.

UKBA will only consider your 5400 amount in total and even if it exceeds it wont be a problem as you are initially showing more than 5400 . They wont come to know what else itsy bitsy calculations makes it 5905. So you are still safe. cheers

This is wrong. If you have paid his accomodation fees to your tier 4 sponsor then this can be taken off the amount you need to show for maintenance. Therefore if you have paid more than £5400 you don't need to show anything further.

I am inclined to think you are right. After doing some more digging,i found the tier 4 policy guidance pdf online :

And according to section 157 it states:
"If the tier 4 (General) Student can show that he/she has already paid all or some of his/her accommodation fees to his/her tier 4 sponsor before making his/her application, this amount can also be taken away from the total amount of money he/she will need to show for living costs"
