Girlfriend's visitor visa: 2 in a year not allowed?

My Brazilian girlfriend is here on a 6-month visitor visa. I assumed she had to go home at the end, but someone suggested a holiday to Europe and come back for another 6 months. This didnt sound likely to me, but looking on the ukvisa website I can't see anything to the contrary. Her return flight has a limit of a year so returning 6 months later would be great. I'm not prepared to take any risks though as things are going well and I don't want a black mark on her record. Can you have two 6-month visitor visas in a year? Is there anywhere where this is confirmed one way or the other?!

I think the six month visitor visa would also have an expiry date or stamp on it?... So it is valid only for the six month period between the two dates on the visa.

What you mentioned is valid if she had a 1yr or more multiple entry visa.
