Bank statements query re ILR application

Post by bobblebeanie » Mon May 30, 2011 10:26 am

Hello,

I'm due to apply for my ILR in person at Croydon on Wednesday and had a couple of last minute queries about the bank statements evidence. I have two current accounts and an ISA. One of my current accounts is my main account with the majority of my transactions and where my pay gets paid into. The other account is an old one that I set up for bills for an old flat, that I now only use for web payments for items I buy from outlets I don't know/trust - I only keep a £100 or so in there at any given time. However I do sometimes transfer cash from my main account in here to pay for online shopping purposes and these transfers are shown on my main account statements.

My two queries are:
1. Should I supply 3 months bank statements from my two current accounts and ISA or just my current account?
2. All my bank statements are for the period of the 21 of the previous month to the 20th of the latest month, hence I don't have statements for the last 10 days. I was planning to go into a branch tomorrow and get stamped bank print outs for this last 10 day period as there is no other way I can provide this evidence as my last bank statements are only up to the 20 May. Will this be sufficient?

Any help\advice would be gratefully received.
Thanks.

Cino has given you incorrect advice and hopefully it's not too late to correct this. You should submit all accounts which have activity, including the ISA. This will give the caseworker an overall picture of your finances. There shouldn't be a problem if the accounts are dated within 10 days of your submission but if you're able to get stamped and signed copies up-to-date then by all means do so. Some banks however are reluctant to do this.

Cino...please don't guess the answers even though you may be attempting to help.

as casa says above it'll help your case to show as much financial activity as you can, however they won't refuse your application because you are not showing other accounts. I also do what you do for online txns, I only applied with my main account statement, with no problem at all.
Also for statements off course if you can get the latest stamped it'll help however my statement period was from 11 to 11 each month and I successfully applied on 29th of that month, with 18 days old statements again no issues what so ever.

Good Luck with your application.
