Approval for FLR (IED) - Change of employment

Post by mansawant » Fri Jul 21, 2006 1:26 am

Hi all here,

Request you to update me regarding my query. My wife is work permit holder and I am on dependent visa. In Feb 06 my wife has changed her employment so she got new workpermit (change of employment) letter issued by Home office through her new employer. We have applied for FLR (IED) now on 13th of July i.e. within 6 months of date of new workpermit (Change of employment letter) as our current visa is till May 2010. We got acknowledgment of the application on 19th july but it was dated 15th July 06. When my wife phoned home office yesterday on 20th july, she was told that her case is still not assigned to case worker and it normaly takes 21 days. When we applied last year for FLR (IED) for the first time, we recevied our passports with all the documents back within a week's time with resident permit till May 2010. But this time its taking too much time. Our visa is till may 2010 but because of change of employment we had applied again as it is required. But I want to do course in IT now. That course is going to start on 1st August 06. So I need to register for that course in next 4-5 days and also I need to pay fees for the course which is huge amount. I am worried beacuse of FLR (IED) application. If I register for the course by paying huge fees and if in case my application is rejected, then we have to leave this country.
So I am bit worried because of this. I am not sure whether to register for the course or not. I am already at home for last 4 months without job so I can't sit anymore at home. I request someone to guide me on this telling how much time home office will take to give decision on this type of applications.
I kindly request moderators to give me advice on this.
Thanks & Regards,
Mansawant
