Post by Alain » Mon May 30, 2011 7:16 pm

Hello , I would like some info regarding Tier 4 application as I am actually on PSW. My visa expires on 4 Dec 11 , I am switching to Tier 4 ,just wanted to know whether there any time limit for the application , uni enrolment , starting time , I will obviously send it before the 4 Dec. Also do i need to show all the funds for three months or only the last 28 days.

Many thanks for help and info.

1. Your course should begin no later than 4th January, if it doesn't your application would be rejected since it does not meet the immigration rule.

2. 28 days, but you do not qualify for reduced maintenance and would require 600 or 800 per month upto 9months (depending upon your course if it is shorter for eg 6 months then maintenance for 6 months)

Many thanks for reply Terriblescream, i appreciate.

So as long as i enroll a month time in advance before the expiry date, i should be ok. Is there any link about the immigration rule regarding deadlines.

Could you please elaborate more on the reduced maintenance ( not qualify ) , as i will do my MBA im planning to pay half of it and show a bank balance of roughly £7200.

1. Its about your course start date and not enrolling. Your COURSE Should begin on 4th January or before if it does later your application will be refused. In this situation you should go back to your Home Country and apply, no solicitor will help you even if they claim the appeal will not be allowed.

See this link http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/polic ... es/part6a/ and refer to 245ZX which is Requirements for Leave to Remain and rule (l) states

(l) The applicant must not be applying for leave to remain for the purpose of studies which would commence more than one month after the applicant's current entry clearance or leave to remain granted under these Rules expires.

2. If you study in outer London you would require 5400 or 7200 if inner London apart from your FEES .
