Tier2 Sponsor not paying agreed salary

Post by farhankhan » Tue May 31, 2011 2:53 pm

Can any one shed some light on how to deal with the employer not paying the agreed salary as per COS Please?

If i am to report him , where would i stand with my leave to remain as tier2 holder?

I'm afraid reporting your employer won't go down too well. Especially if you want to maintain a good relationship with them.

I know it is difficult, but you will need to stress to them that you will need a pay rise in order to continue working for them. I don't know how important you are to them, but if you are very important to the business, I'd imagine that it is only a prudent business decision to increase your pay. It is most likely going to cost them more to employ and train somebody new.

By the way, reporting them might not change anything much. The risks is that, they could say they are no longer interested in sponsoring you and will instead get a settled worker to do your job. Remember, a settled worker aren't required to meet any salary requirements and in theory could pay them even less.

Get as much advice as possible from the members on the forum.

How long have you been working with the company for?
