EEA2 and Passport expired

Hi there,

i want to share this information with everyone.
My girlfriend and I we have just got married 3 weeks ago in the church of england. we got ready all my document but my passport was expired i didn't know what to do. i have contacted Algerienne embassy to renew it but they said as your status is illegal we can not renew you passport. what we did we sent all the document with expired passport and i included letter where we explained the reson why the passport was exprired. 2 weeks later they sent me all document back saying as your passsport is expired we can not asses you case, from there i have contact my embassy i explained the situation they said if you have that letter from Home office saying they need valid passport just come and we renew it because the home office they are awar that i am here in UK illegal. today i have recieved my passport from the embassy and i will send them the document to the home office tomorrow finger crose it wont be so long.

If you are the spouse of an EEA national who is exercising Treaty rights, then you are not "illegal" in the UK anyway.
