Settlement visa application from India - 2011

Still no luck

That is a huge drop of settlement visas decisions, only 21 for the month considering the Feb figures were 175, thats ridiculous!

Its very tough to wait... Its been 2 months today but still no response. i dnt know why they are taking too much time in processing? they are yet to process march applications... i did apply on 1st april... hope to get response soon...

called BHC, mumbai again this morning. same standard answer......yu have to wait till the decision is taken.
Looking at the April processing guidelines, it seems that whatever they have processed in April, has been done within 60days (atleast in Mumbai, Delhi & Bangalore). So i think, 60 (working) days should be our guide.
Keep waiting.....i guess........

I beleive this is due to shift of new goverments immigration policy, they want to admit 10,000 of people in to UK not millions as was under labour goverment, i know its not fair for people whom are applying now, i am waiting for my wife settelment visa since mid april

Just to update you guys. I got my visa today ...thank god so much its been really stressful and i was fearing the worst but im so happy and hope all you guys get your visa soon.

i applied 8th march ..

good luck guys my thought are with you as this has been one stressful process and hope you guys get your visa soon...

Congratulations Amarkk.

Do you mean you actually picked up your visa today? Or they have sent it back to Chandigarh so you will pick it up?

My wife applied on 11th March, 3 days after you so hopefully this week or next week we should hear something back from them

I got an sms on Monday the 30th saying processed application being couriered to you via blue dart. It was suppose to get to me yday but was delayed. It only came to my house address today.

No medicals were asked for and my degree was enough for language test. I only supplied my certificate with no letter from uni.

It took 60 days. On the 12 week we received update.

I thought they send the visa back to the VFS office? I did not realise they send it straight to your house?

It depends on if you paid small fee at vfs office when u submitted your application, i beleive if you pay 200rs you can get your passport delevired at home you do have to choose though when you make an application

Thanks KJ29, just spoke to my wife she said she paid the fee to have it delivered back to the VFS office.

58th day now, hopefully hear back soon!

Just to give you guys an update my wife's application status has been changed to

Your Application is being sent to the application center. Please wait until it is ready for collection.

Fingers crossed it is all ok. This is now the 59th working day

As you said there is two type of status, so is there any special meaning for each type of status?

I dont know at the moment but I think if all members take their time and update their boards with exact wording when status changes then we should be able to establish a pattern over longer period mohsin my wifes visa was refused in feb but on the other hand i read on google someone applied under teir one in 2010 and he did had sucesful lets just wait and see what happens over longer period .
