Is attending a conference considered Business Trip(for a Dr)

Post by rj_ilr » Thu Jun 02, 2011 9:09 am

Hi,

I attended a couple of conferences during the last 5 years which were out of UK. I am a hospital consultant. I am not sure if these can count towards a business trip. It was not on behalf of hospital but is work related in terms of my development and professional requirement.

Thank you all

Rj

get a letter saying u were on conference. did u take study leave for the time u were out? if yes then that's ur additinal proof. In any case how many total absences do you have. you mentioned u have only been on couple of conferences then it wont be that many days. total allowance for travel outside UK for ILR is 180 days total and less than 90 days in single trip.
