Expert opinions on OISC Regsitered Firms

Post by rockf1bull » Sun Jun 05, 2011 3:40 pm

Hello All,

Please advise if its possible to view a complete list of OISC registered agents/firms within UK which can be used for job search?

I have received below link of UKBA site from one of the members today which has a list of all companies sponsoring for Tier 2 applicants though I assume these are two difference things, please confirm if I am wrong.

Link - http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/worki ... fsponsors/

Also any chances/opinions on current UK job market, trends in 2011 for IT jobs would be very much welcome.

I am not in the UK yet though by looking at the current situations and overall feel of the UK government mood of getting even harder on immigration doesn't draw a very good picture for me :( though I may still give it a go.

Thanks everyone in advance,
AJ

OISC registered advisers / firms offer immigration advice.
Tier 2 licensed sponsors can sponsor non-EU migrants for employment in the UK.

A given OISC registered firm may or may not be a Tier 2 sponsor.

If you are searching for potential employers to sponsor you, then you need to refer to the list of registered sponsors. If you are searching for advisers / firms for immigration advice, you should refer to OISC website.
Life isn't fair, but you can be!

Thanks Sush and this will certainly help me get more information on current trends.

Can you also tell me more on the current IT job market though this is too naive a question and probably be better answered if I provide a bit more detail about my profile.

I have been working in India since past 4 years as a tech analyst on various Linux and Windows platforms along with IBM portals and middleware technologies. Although we get to hear daily about more and more jobs being shifted offshore in our cities (and incidently it's the same jobs I am applying here in UK so I know there is again a risk of my current job being moved offshore again).

If you or someone else can shade some light on this front, I would be really glad.

Thanks,
