NL MVV stamped with remark at end poor quality of passport

Post by amazon79 » Sun Jun 05, 2011 1:46 pm

Hi

Got my Knowledge migrant MVV stamped from Mumbai Netherlands consulate with following remark attached at the last page of passport.

The travel is at your own risk because of poor quality of passport.

Anyone got any idea , is this a problem as , the visa is already stamped , this is 8 n half yr old passport, so its not gonna look like new .

After a year I will anyways making a new one when it reaches expiry date.

Thanks

Neat statement! Where did you swim with your passport?

I assume you are Indian. You may find it better to renew your passport now (in India).

Often renewing outside of your home country is more difficult and a lot more expensive. (UK passport is twice as expensive to renew abroad)

:D Well i dont even know how to swim.
Its just that the photo page is got slightly dull.
I cant renew the passport in India now as it can be renewed just 1yr before the expiry date.
Mine is like 1 n half yr to the expiry date.

If I go for reissue of the passport in condition of being a damaged one it will take very long time.

I dont mind paying extra to get it renewed in Netherlands next year.

But will I face a problem in immigration in Netherlands with this?
I have been before to Netherlands 2 times on a mvv.

Thanks

I seriously doubt you will have a problem in the Netherlands. They have the Netherlands visa part, which is what they really want to see, and can likely even see the notation that the visa officer made on your computer record.

I guess they are trying to warn you about problems from the airline when you fly.
