proof of "Exercising treaty rights" for EEA3+4

Post by andrej » Sun Jun 05, 2011 11:36 pm

Going to be applying soon for EEA4 (Non-EU) and EEA3 (EU) after 5 year of EEA family member stamp (non-EU) and blue Residence Permit (EU).

I know the EU citizen has to provide proof of "Exercising the treaty rights" and we are trying to locate P60s for years 2006-2011.

So far we found P60 for year 2008, 2010, 2011 but could not find 2006, 2007 and 2009. Is it possible to in stead supply monthly pay slips for those years if P60s not found?

Or is there a way to get old P60s from former employer or Inland Revenue?

Thanks

Normally it is not possible to get duplicate P60's, but may be you're lucky and is it not a problem for your employer.

You do not really need a P60 to prove exercising treaty rights, a simple letter from your employer confirming during which period you worked there is also sufficient, or perhaps you still have your contract of employment?

It is also possible to ask HMRC for a printout of your tax-calculation for the last five or six years. I did that once myself; it took just one phone call and a short waiting period.
