TIMELINE AFTER NATURALISATION APPLICATION SUBMISSION

I phoned them up today for the first time !
And the operator said that my application is still going through security checks !!!
I was shocked to be honest...
My brother, sister and I, applied together via a solicitor because my sister is under 18 and we had no idea how to apply for her.
But hey.. I regret it so much.. I wish I had applied by post or something.. and by the way I only asked about my own application and not my family...

Do you guys think that there is something wrong with my application?
after more than two months its still going through security checks and has not been allocated to a caseworker yet !!!

Here is my timeline:

There is nothing Wrong with your Application. Mine took 10weeks and 2 days. some a bit more and some took less. You will hear from the HO soon, relax and enjoy

Been watching posts and thought I would join and add my timeline in view of some comments being made about stressing over the time taken to debit credit cards. As you can see, it took 3 weeks to debit mine. Patience is a virtue.

I will book my ceremony in July after I come back from Spain! - Travel with Indian nationality for the last time!

Now it is time to wait for the passport interview letter, it is been close to 2 weeks and i have not heard anything from them...

when my friends applied in january they got the interview letters in straight 3 working days..

I sent mine a week ago, also heard nothing and I was kinda expecting a response within a week.

I applied my passport on 7th June, A friend of mine applied on 1st June and he got his interview letter today. They take around 2-3 weeks at the moment as this is busy time when every one is trying to get passports before holidays.

Waiting for approval.

Called HO today, and got the reply that the application is with a case worker and under consideraion. Dont know how long the case worker takes to approve my application :-)

I applied for my passport today after a private ceremony, though the original date for the ceremony is 26/06/11 sent by the council, but i could not wait. The lady at the post office told me that the passport may take up to 6 weeks

After 11 weeks wait finally brown envelops arrived today. Was surprised to see 3 brown envelops. Surprisingly they have sent individually of our family (wife and son).

yes i did checked my account( still not taken yet) and i used visa debit card for payment.

wait for 4, 5 days more and then ring HO for asking why they getting late to take the money out coz its really strange

ok i will wait...but i rang today already the gentleman was himself amazed but couldnt able to tell me why is that late coz i didnt recived any letter from homeoffice yet.

This is bit strange, it is worth writing a quick letter and maybe include a self Addressed Stamped Envelope for a reply

Given all the holidays etc... I would advise refrain from calling HO for the next 9 weeks or so and then see what the update is. The average here at the moment is between 11 to 16 weeks. If possible during thse times just keep yourself occupied and try not to think about it (I know it is hard) I tried to refrain from calling, but in the end I gave it up. I suggest try reading a few posts from last few pages, this will definately give you some confidence and assurance
