FAV5 DENIED

Post by LAROCCAMOM » Fri Jun 10, 2011 6:46 pm

I just received an email from the UK Consulate in NY. It reads:
Dear Applicant,

We regret to inform you that after careful consideration against the immigration rules, your UK visa application has been unsuccessful. Along with the return of your passport and documents, you will find enclosed a detailed notice explaining exactly why your application was refused and information on your appeal rights.

Your passport will be dispatched from the New York office and will be delivered by UPS. Your UPS tracking number is 1Z5XXXXXXXXXX and a signature is required in order to complete delivery. You may track your UPS shipment at www.ups.com

Package tracking status on the UPS website will appear as 'Billing Information Received' before UPS pick up your package from our office and up to 24 hours afterward while they update their system. If you are unable to sign for your package and wish to make alternative arrangements, please contact UPS on 1-800-377-4877 and quote the tracking number of your package.

Delivery times:
Within the USA: Next business day
Outside of the USA: 2-5 days
What to do now? We know we have to wait, hopefully until tomorrow, to get the denial letter to find out the reason. But, can we re-apply afterwards or do we have to appeal? I heard the appeals take 3-months.

We are freaking out at this point.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
