Naturalisation: My spouse or 12 month ILR.

Hi Guys,

I‘m South African with a 5 year UK Ancestral Visa and this will be expiring in July this year, therefore I will be applying for my ILR which I should get. Once I’ve got this I will be applying for my naturalisation. My wife is a British Citizen and we got married in March in South Africa this year so it’s only been a few months.

The question I have is, will I be able to apply for my naturalisation straight away because of my wife or will I have to wait the 12 months?
