Can Dependents Sponsor?

Hi,

I am on Tier 1 General Visa. My family is with me. My wife is working as social worker and she wants to sponsor one of her friend from Pakistan.

Is she allowed to sponsor her?

Secondly, If she is allowed. Do we need the same set of documents as required for VAF1B.

At any stage do I need to show my financial position to UKBA.

Probably need form VAF1A, if visitor is a friend. I don't see why dependants cannot sponsor. Perhaps you can also both be co-sponsors, if you wanted to.
