Do I stand a chance bout getting my citizenship?

I came to Ireland when I was 6 in 1999 with my parents and we stayed in Ireland because my brother was born here, Irish born. Now I've 3 Irish born siblings ( my 11 year old brother, my 10 year old sis and my 3 year old sis). My parents have had Stamp 4 for about 8 years now and my mom got Stamp 5. I went to school here since senior infants and I consider myself Irish even though I do not have the Irish nationality yet. My mom applied for citizenship in 2007 and she applied for me and my younger sisters, but my siblings applications and my application were withdrawn because we were underage. My mom still hasn't received an answer about her citizenship till now. I applied last year again few months before I turned 18, and I did my Leaving Cert here too. Do you think I stand a chance of getting the Irish citizenship? It's very frustrating because of all the visas I have to get to go to the UK. I also got married to a British citizen.

You can apply based on Irish associations - you are related by blood to an Irish citizen (your siblings).

Alternatively, if you are still under 18 by the time your mother's naturalisation application is granted then you can apply as a minor child of a naturalised Irish citizen.

The irish connection as the other poster suggested is untested. I really don't think that is what the Dail had in mind, if you read the debates on the issue. you personally did not even get status on the basis of the citizen child, your mother did. You did get status more in line with the mother.

Once you turn 18 you can apply. You could use the time already here, as your starting pointing.

Yeah, I applied again few months just before I turned 18, which was like last year so I'm 18 now nearly 19 and still waiting for an answer, I really hope it's good news, the wait is quite frustrating!
