I arrived in the UK on an ancestry visa on 29-06-2006
I have a booking for ILR application with UKBA on 24-06-2011
I have a full time job, some savings and have only left the UK for 3 short holidays. Uni degree, life in the UK test pass etc
My currently ancestry visa is valid till 2014
Today while rechecking all my paperwork I looked over this page again:
http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/settlement/
"Please do not send us your application more than 28 days before you become eligible to apply. If you do, we may refuse your application with no refund of the application fee (if a fee is charged for your application type). However, you must make your application before your current permission to stay in the UK expires."
I'm now worried by the keyword "send". If I am applying in person can I still apply in the 28 day window before my 5 years is complete. Or would I be better to cancel my booking and try to get another appointment in the future (ancestry interview slots in Glasgow are often hard to get it seems)
THANKS FOR ANY ADVICE
