US Citizen working in Europe?

Hello. I wanted to ask if anyone could provide information for a US Citizen to obtain a work permit/visa for the EU? I was looking at the UK, and the Netherlands, possibly even France.

I was looking at possibly immigrating to Europe in the future, however I am not sure if this is very common or easily accomplished.
