Tier 1 Dependent application after appeal

Post by giribalaji22 » Thu Jun 23, 2011 3:49 pm

Hi there,

I had applied for my Tier 1 dependent visa few months before, but got refused as my bank statements didn't have bank logo. I had lodged an appeal with all the necessary documents but after more than 2 months wait I am here to make a new application.

Now my queries are as follows:
1) In my new fresh application, should I mention in the "covering letter" about previous refusal and the appeal which I lodged?

2) In section 8 of VAF-10 form there is a question to provide any additional information I might want to provide to support my application. So should I mention there about the refusal and appeal in process. I already said "yes" to the question asking if my visa was refused and I had provided the details there with reference number, date of refusal etc. So is there any need to fill section 8 also?

3) Should I mention in the covering letter that Bank statements I have provided are according to guidence for applicants?

4) I know how much money I am supposed to show, but having gone through previous posts I can see that people were refused coz ECO didnt know that the required funds were as per guidelines, in that case should I attach the print out of "Gudielines for funds" along with my application. If I attach a print out, will that put ECO off? I dont want to offend anyone.

My queries might be silly, but believe me what I have gone through in last few months was very stressful and your quick response to this will be highly appreciated.

Many thanks,

Balaji

yes

just fill it as detailed as you can

as long as they are original, you don't have to mention anything

no, they have guide lines

Thank you so much "Innocentdevil" for your quick reply.

I just want to double check the following:

As my wife is in the UK for more than 12 months, how much funds we are supposed to show when I apply as her dependent? If you can give a breakdown of funds for her and for me, would be great.

Many thanks once again,

Balaji

like you said if you have been in the uk for more than 12 months then you need to show 800 + 533 for each dependent for last 3 months.

Successful appeal....confusing email

Post by giribalaji22 » Sat Jul 02, 2011 9:43 am

By grace of God, my appeal has been overturned locally. But before I get this call from British High Commission, my new application was already in process with BHC. The person on the phone from BHC told me that they had overturned the decision and asked me to submit my passport at BHC.

I informed him that my passport is with BHC itself as my new application is still in process. The person asked me to fill “Notice of withdrawal of applicationâ€
