Post by whitebedspread » Sat Jun 25, 2011 1:41 pm

Hello All,
I have sent my application over 6 months(22/12/2010) now yet nothing has been heard from the HO except for the COA and some other letter stating my application is in process. It's been 6 month since 22/06/2011......i tried calling the HO bt no response but i have sent them an e-mail and my lawyer has since sent a letter too.
I am really worried, even my wife tried calling too bt no response

Thanks for your support

Keep calling them on 0845 010 5200 , option 1 then 2

your laywer should threaten them with a Warnign letter prior to High Court! That is what my solicitor will do if my processing time exceed 6 months.
Previosly I was waiting for the Certificate of Approval for 8 months, and when I start engaging MP and also ordered to my laywer to act he did warning letter prior to High Court and in few weeks I got the COA for marriage purpose.
They should not delay that much. It should not take more than 6 months according to the both Uk and European law, so I suggest you that you press them. Contact at the same time ( send email) to Customer COmplaints on NWCSU@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk , contact local MP and your lawyers warning High Court letter and finally you can contact SOLVIT of the country of your spouse ( if she is EEA national) . In any case, start asking for your passport back ( if u already havent done it) and that should make them speed up with making decision upon your case ( u can retreive your passports on the number provided above) .
