Tier 4 to Tier 2 (General)

Post by taimoorkhan » Mon Jun 27, 2011 8:46 am

Hi everyone!

I'm currently on Tier 4 category and about to finish my Masters degree. I have been working with my employer since Jan 2011, which has now applied for Tier 2 license upon my request, and waiting for the result.

My question is, would they still need to conduct RMLT test for me, as I have been working there for more than six months now. (bearing in mind that job was advertised for about more than a month on various websites)?

Looking for your generous help.

Thanks

Working? Make sure that you do not work for more hours than permitted.

Unless the job is included in the shortage occupation list, your employer will need to fulfil all the requirements for sponsoring and employing a non-EU migrant, including the RMLT. Read the policy guidance for details.
