Post by Ashwin G » Mon Jun 27, 2011 8:30 pm

Hi,
Quick querry, I am working in UK on Tier 1, my question is that - if my visa is expiring in 2,3 months time, can I still sponsor my parents. or there is some rule like your residence permit should be valid for 6 months when the make entry.

Appreciate your help

Thanks,
Ashwin

Although there is no HARD AND FAST rule on this. However, what I have experianced from one of my friend, happens to be in your condition, is they have issued the sponsored person visa for duration same as the sponsoring person time of remaining leave.

It is advisable to get your visa extended first and then go for sponsoring some one. This will increase the chances of sponsored person getting the visa.

Thanks,
The question is... to be or not to be....
