Do you have a UK issued "EEA Family Permit"?

If so travel to the UK with your Irish spouse. When you arrive you can either have a wonderful holiday, or start working - it is up to you!

If your wife is "exercising her treaty rights" at the end of 3 months, you can both decide to stay and can, and likely want to, apply for a Residence Card, which will be valid for 5 years.

That is all.

I dont know, on the sticker they write down " Family member of EEA FP : my wife name "
if we both start work over there after 3 month if we apply for residence card so how long it ll take that we receive the card, and before the do i need some permission from uk authorities for work on this entry clearance or no?

That's an EEA Family Permit then.

Six months to receive residence card from application.

No permission needed in order to work.

To reiterate what Directive said though, after the first three months following entry your EU spouse needs to working, self-employed, studying or financially self-sufficient in order for her (and thus your) residence to remain lawful.

Does it not say on the EEA FP that you are entitled to work?

wwattock80,

In any case, you can immediately start work if you are in possession of the EEA FP. Even before you exit the doors of the airport, if you find something very quickly.

Key thing is that the EEA citizen is in the country with you!

You have residency from the moment you arrive in the UK.

You are not listening! Listen carefully: you are allowed to work from the moment you arrive with your spouse in the UK. You do not need to immediately apply for an NI number, and in any case they encourage you to have a job first and then apply. So get the job on day one, and apply for the NI number a week or two later...
