Transfer of work permit

Hi Guys

I transferred employers in 2008- see below for time line

Work permit transfer approved – 5 Sep 2008

FLR IED granted – 7 Oct 2008

1 month notice served with old employer from 8 Oct 2008- 7 Nov 2008

Joined new employer on 8 Nov 2008

Was I right to serve my 1 moth notice after my FLR IED was granted.
