ILR query - Tier 2 (ICT) to Tier 2 General

Hi All,

I am in UK from Jan 2007 onwards and is due for my ILR in Dec 2011. I started with a work permit and is currently holding a Tier 2 - ICT (transitional arrangement) visa. Due to change of circumstances I am planning to change employer. Since, Tier 1 is not option anymore, I am looking at moving into Tier 2 General visa. However, I have read somewhere that one cannot move from Tier 2 ICT to Tier 2 General unless I leave and re-enter the country. By doing so, will it impact my eligibility for ILR in Dec 2011? Any guidance / help will be appreciated.

As per home office document, you are definitely eligible.

Please check document Part-6A section 245HF
