How many months can my wife stay in India?

Post by vasu79 » Fri Jul 01, 2011 6:58 pm

Hi,

My wife got 1 year visiting visa to India

I was wondering, how many months (maximum months) can she stay in
India.

I was thinking the limit is 6 months, to return to UK? Please can anyone clarify me.

She holds UK British Passport.

Thanks
Vasu

thats odd, I thought they only did a 6 months tourist visa or even for an entry visa the maximum period of stay is 6 months after which you need to leave the country. Can you please let us know if there is a maximum duration of stay mentioned on the visa

thanks

its usually 6 months - also depends upon the number of years visa you have applied for... if you live for over 180 days in India you'll have to register with the police!
