Hi,
I have a couple of questions about applying for a spouse visa for my Egyptian husband (I'm British).
Firstly, we heard that the immigration interview has been dropped? This seems unlikely to me, so I'd like to find our for sure, of course and what the implications are of that? It seems unlikely that they will allow the process to be easier at this time?!
We are in the process of doing the new English test requirement before making the actual application and feel in a good position that we have everything we need - accommodation, adequate although not huge finances, plenty evidence of having met several times in egypt and daily contact when I'm in UK etc. However we have conflicting information about whether a job offer is required for my husband given that we are applying for a spouse visa. We're under the impression that as long as we can prove we have a place to live and enough income to not try to live off the state, that that is adequate. However, I have also read on this forum that a job offer needs to be in place as part of the application.
I'd appreciate any additional information on this point. Thanks.
