Visitor Visa query

Post by hsmp_1982 » Wed Jul 06, 2011 10:15 am

Hi

I have a Tier 1 visa which is valid until April 2012. I am eligible for an extention for another 2 years.

My parents are visiting me during Christmas and would like to stay for 6 months on a visitor visa i.e. from December until May.

My question is - would the high commision consider a letter from me quoting I am eligible for an extention and would they give my parents a visa for 6 months from December to May - even though I have a visa only until April? OR would they give my parents a visa only say for the period until which my current visa is valid?

I know the decision differs case by case, however can you share your experience?

Thanks

If you are lucky to get one for them,it will run till the date your visa expires, as there is no guarantee that your visa will be extended.

The visa will be issued to them as a result of you being the sponsor and you will have agreed to maintain, support and accommodate them during their stay in UK.
