sister's bank statement!!!

Post by elfray » Wed Jul 06, 2011 4:57 pm

hi there,

I am planning to apply for student visa and my sister is planning to show her bank statement as money available to me.

I just wanted to check what evidence does she need to give to prove that she is my sister and that I have the right to use the funds when I am in UK.

Can you please help me with this?

Thanks a lot in advance.

Shreya

Well my parents are still there ... so they are obviously my guardian. How do I get my sister to become my legal guardian?

Then you cannot use your sister's bank account / statements.

Your parents can give legal consent and appoint her as one, if the laws of your country allow. Check with a local lawyer.
Life isn't fair, but you can be!

i'm not sure how your sister can be appointed your guardian now, when you are an adult.

It would be much simpler if the funds were either in your name, your parents names, or jointly held by you and your parents, or even you and your sister.
