Tier 1 dependent visa- combining accounts for maintenance

Hi All,

I have been in the Uk on a Tier 1 visa for the last 2 years and my wife who's in India is planning to join me on a dependent visa. My question is regarding the £533 balance required as maintenance funds for 3 months. I wanted to check if I can combine a UK account and an India account to show the balance of £533 for the 3 months, e.g. show £400 in the UK account and £200 pounds in the India account.

Yes you can show. But both bank accounts should have 3 month period must be same start date and end date. bank statement must be Original bank stationary paper with name & logo of bank.

Not sure how the case worker will decide for someone having only 400 pounds and planning to bring family back in UK when they are sometimes even rejecting with 800+533 asking main applicant should have 2800+533

@ tier 1_applicant: thanks for the information, I'll remember that. The figures I gave was an example. I get paid 3000 p.m., however I'm currently paying of my student loan and so my balance is usually around £1000. But for a few days my balance fell below £533 because of some unexpected direct debits.
