How many days short is ok to apply for ILR?

Post by amitlsbu123 » Thu Jul 14, 2011 4:20 pm

Hi guys,

Just a quick question if any of you can answer please.

I have seen many cases where people have applied for early extension and got there tier 1 visa extended some people are short by few months i can understand they have to apply for extension to finish there 5 years to apply for ILR?

But am i correct in understanding if you dont get visa for full five years and if you are only short of 5 or 10 days to finish your 5 years you can still apply for ILR instead of going for tier 1 extension ?

Thanks,

vinny

thank you vinny for your response.

Reason i have asked as i have an appointment booked for tier 1 extension just five days before my visa expires and i know they give you visa from the day itself and i will be short by 5 days in my ILR. But i guess your response is a great relief. I can apply for ILR straightway instead of applying for one more visa extension.

Thanks once again.
